AI Images for Social Media Marketing: A Brand Workflow

Plan consistent AI images for social campaigns, preserve product accuracy, prepare layouts and review each visual before publication.

Coordinated coffee imagery for a social media campaign

AI images can help you explore campaign visuals, but a collection of attractive pictures is not automatically a consistent brand campaign. Start with a visual brief that ties each image to a message and placement. Keep the product, audience and intended action clear.

Create a small visual brief

Write down the palette, lighting, background style and amount of space needed for text. Define what must remain unchanged, such as packaging proportions or a product color. Use assets you own or have permission to use, and keep a record of those permissions.

For example, a fictional coffee brand might use warm natural light, a cream background and a simple tabletop. A consistent brief is more useful than asking every image to be “premium” without defining what that means.

Generate for the placement

  1. Open AI Studio Image tools.
  2. Choose a model with the required text-to-image or image-editing capability.
  3. Add references only when supported and follow the displayed limits.
  4. Select an available format that suits the planned layout.
  5. Review the current price before submitting and inspect the completed image.

Do not assume that a model supports every reference count, resolution or editing operation. A family name is not a substitute for checking the selected variant.

Original prompt example

A ceramic coffee cup on a cream tabletop beside a folded linen napkin, warm light from the left, restrained brown and ivory palette, simple background, generous clear space on the right for a headline added later.

Add the exact headline and brand mark in a layout editor. This gives you control over spelling, alignment and contrast, especially when adapting a campaign into Arabic.

Build a repeatable review checklist

  • Compare product shape and color with approved source material.
  • Inspect hands, reflections, edges and any generated lettering.
  • Check that the crop leaves room for the actual platform interface.
  • Review readability at phone size, not only on a large monitor.
  • Prepare useful alt text when the publishing platform supports it.

If one visual fails, fix the specific issue rather than changing the whole style. Save the prompt, references and settings alongside the accepted asset so another team member can understand the direction.

Connect visuals to a campaign

Assign each image a job: introduce the product, explain a feature or invite a next step. Evaluate results through actual campaign reporting; do not promise engagement merely because an image was made with AI. Our content planning checklist helps connect the visuals to a clear publishing plan.
